Radius
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 13, 2026
Radius provides local public-safety incident awareness, saved-place profiles, email delivery, and optional SMS alerts. Radius is an independently operated service. Radius is the service name and the SMS sender name shown to users.
Information we collect
- Email address and secure sign-in activity used to create and recover a Radius profile.
- Saved-place label, searched address or map location, latitude and longitude, alert radius, and alert level.
- Mobile phone number and, when you enable or disable optional SMS, consent or opt-out records such as the timestamp, disclosure version, source, method, and phone-number hash or last four digits.
- A browser or device identifier used to connect a free saved place, account, and checkout attempt.
- If you use Radius Signal, your latest approximate device location, location accuracy, alert distance and type preferences, background-monitoring choice, and Apple push-notification token. Radius Signal replaces the prior location when it receives a newer one and does not build a route history.
- Subscription, trial, checkout, and billing status from Lemon Squeezy. Radius does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Basic usage, product-event, security, and technical logs needed to operate, protect, understand, and debug the service.
How we use information
- To create, recover, and manage your Radius profile and saved places across devices.
- To show in-app notices and, for Radius Plus, send qualifying email alerts.
- To send SMS for high or critical incidents near a saved place only after separate SMS opt-in.
- To process trials, subscriptions, account status, support requests, opt-outs, fraud prevention, and service reliability.
- To measure aggregate product usage and improve the map, reports, onboarding, and alerts.
- To match new qualifying reports to the latest area supplied by Radius Signal and deliver optional Apple push notifications.
SMS messages
SMS is optional and is configured after Radius Plus activation. A mobile number and affirmative consent are required only for SMS delivery. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Stopping SMS does not cancel Radius Plus or email delivery. See the SMS opt-in details for the exact consent flow.
Service providers
Radius uses service providers including Cloudflare for hosting, data storage, security, and email infrastructure; Google Analytics for aggregate website and product-usage measurement; Lemon Squeezy for checkout and subscription management; and Twilio for SMS delivery when enabled. These providers process information as needed to provide their services to Radius and may maintain their own legally required records. Radius does not send saved addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, account IDs, or device IDs to Google Analytics.
Sharing and sale of information
Radius does not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers described above, when required by law, to protect the service or users, or as part of a business transfer.
Data retention
Radius retains profile, saved-place, subscription, delivery, and consent records while needed to provide the service and for a reasonable period afterward for support, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. SMS opt-out records may be retained to prevent future messages to opted-out numbers. For Radius Signal, Radius keeps only the latest submitted device location rather than a location history. Turning off mobile monitoring deactivates the push token and clears that location from the active device record.
Your choices
You may change saved-place settings, remove a place, cancel Radius Plus, unsubscribe from weekly emails, or reply STOP to end SMS. To request access, correction, or deletion of profile information, email support@radiusalert.app. Some records may be retained where required for billing, security, opt-out compliance, or legal obligations.
Public-safety information
Do not send Radius victim names, private medical information, tactical details, or other sensitive personal information when reporting a map issue. Use the incident link and a non-sensitive public source whenever possible.
