This page documents how Radius users provide consent to receive serious public-safety incident alerts by SMS.
How users opt in
Users opt in on https://radiusalert.app by clicking Get alerts, entering their email, mobile phone number, saved address, and alert radius, then checking an unchecked SMS consent box before checkout. SMS alerts are activated only after paid checkout is completed.
Consent language shown to users
Message purpose
Radius sends opt-in public safety incident alerts by SMS when a serious or urgent police, fire, or EMS incident appears near a saved address and alert radius chosen by the user. Routine calls are not sent by SMS. Messages are transactional safety alerts only, not marketing or political content.

Recipients can reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. The Radius app also includes a Manage option for cancellation.
