Authenticated opt-in card
The example below mirrors the initial state shown in Places & alerts after Radius Plus activation. The mobile field starts blank and the SMS checkbox starts unchecked.
OPTIONAL SMS
Add SMS alerts.
Get text messages for high and critical public-safety incidents near this saved place. Email alerts work without SMS.
Only required if you choose to enable SMS alerts.
Optional SMS alerts: By checking this optional box and clicking Enable SMS alerts, I agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Radius at the mobile number provided about high and critical public-safety incidents near my saved place. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of Radius Plus. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
SMS is optional. Choosing email only does not affect your Radius Plus access.
Example only · No information is submitted from this page.
What happens in the live flow
- The user activates Radius Plus without providing a phone number or SMS consent.
- In the authenticated Places & alerts screen, the user opens the separate SMS alerts card.
- The mobile field is optional and the SMS consent checkbox is unchecked by default.
- Only a user who enters a mobile number, checks the separate optional box, and clicks Enable SMS alerts is enrolled.
- Choosing Keep email only, leaving the field blank, or leaving the checkbox unchecked does not restrict Radius Plus or email alerts.
- Radius records the affirmative consent event, including account, saved place, timestamp, source, and consent wording version.
- Radius sends an immediate confirmation text. The user can reply STOP at any time to end SMS without canceling Radius Plus or email alerts.
